IETE VJC Annual Activities

A 36-HOUR HACKATHON ON AI INNOVATION was conducted as part of the January 2024 activities, providing students with a competitive and collaborative platform to develop innovative solutions using Artificial Intelligence.

The hackathon encouraged:

• Creative problem-solving
• Team-based project development
• Rapid prototyping and implementation

Participants worked continuously to design and present AI-driven solutions, showcasing their technical expertise and innovative thinking.

A specialized WORKSHOP ON INDUSTRIAL DRONES AND THEIR APPLICATIONS was organized to introduce students to drone technology and its practical uses in various industries.

The workshop covered:

• Fundamentals of drone technology
• Applications in agriculture, surveillance, and logistics
• Demonstrations of drone operations

The session provided students with valuable insights into emerging technologies and their real-world impact.

The IETE Student Forums under the IETE Vijayawada Centre organized an intensive AI BOOTCAMP – Artificial Intelligence Training Program during January 2024 across participating institutions.

The program focused on:

• Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Data handling and model development
• Practical implementation using industry tools

Participants actively engaged in hands-on sessions, gaining exposure to real-time AI applications and problem-solving techniques. The bootcamp significantly enhanced students’ understanding of emerging AI technologies and their applications in engineering domains.

In December 2023, the IETE Vijayawada Centre, along with its associated ISF institutions, continued to conduct various technical workshops, seminars, and academic activities.

These initiatives aimed to:

• Strengthen students’ practical knowledge
• Provide exposure to industry-relevant technologies
• Encourage participation in technical learning environments

The programs conducted during this period ensured consistent engagement of students in skill development activities and reinforced the importance of continuous learning.

During November 2023, the IETE Vijayawada Centre, in association with its IETE Student Forums (ISFs), continued to organize a series of technical activities, guest lectures, and student engagement programs across various institutions.

These activities focused on:

• Enhancing domain knowledge in electronics and communication engineering
• Promoting research-oriented learning
• Strengthening industry-academia interaction

Students actively participated in technical discussions, seminars, and interactive sessions, gaining valuable exposure to emerging technologies and real-world applications.

The continuous engagement of ISF units reflects the commitment of the IETE Vijayawada Centre toward nurturing technical excellence and innovation.

The IETE Student Forum of PSCMR College of Engineering & Technology organized a Technical Seminar on “Make Innovation a Core Value” on 16th October 2023.

The session highlighted:

• Importance of innovation in engineering
• Role of creativity in technological advancements
• Strategies to build innovative thinking

The seminar motivated students to adopt innovation-driven approaches in their academic and professional pursuits.

On the occasion of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary (15th October), multiple ISF institutions celebrated World Students Day through various technical and creative events.

The celebrations included:

• Paper presentations
• Poster presentations
• JAM sessions and technical competitions
• Essay writing and innovation contests

These activities encouraged student participation and promoted knowledge sharing across institutions.

A Workshop on “PCB Design and its Practical Applications” was conducted from 12th to 14th October 2023 at Bapatla Women’s Engineering College.

The sessions were handled by Mr. C. Sudhakar Reddy and team, Senior Embedded Developers.

The workshop provided:

• PCB design techniques
• Practical fabrication knowledge
• Hands-on circuit development

Participants gained real-time experience in designing and implementing PCB circuits.

The IETE Student Forum of DVR & Dr. HS MIC College of Technology celebrated “Innovation Day” on 14th October 2023, marking the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

The event included:

• Innovation idea contests
• Startup model presentations
• Prototype demonstrations

The celebration encouraged students to develop innovative ideas and fostered a spirit of creativity and entrepreneurship.
