IETE VJC Annual Activities

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bapatla Women’s Engineering College, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh In association with IETE Bapatla Sub-Centre under IETE – Vijayawada Centre were Organized a One-day program on Career Awareness Programme For All competitive Exams on 11.08.2026, to Core branch students in collaboration with Sridhar’s Academy and APSSDC.

The IETE Women Empowerment Cell, Vijayawada, in association with OHM Institute, Vijayawada, successfully organized a webinar on “Career Opportunities Through GATE Exam & Preparation Strategy” on 10th August 2026 at 6:30 PM through Google Meet.

The webinar aimed to create awareness among students about the career opportunities available through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and the importance of a well-planned preparation strategy. The session provided valuable insights into GATE preparation, examination planning, and career prospects in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Engineering Services Examination (ESE), and higher education.

Resource Persons

The session featured two experienced experts:

• Mr. Hemanth, Director and Subject Expert at OHM Institute, who secured AIR 4 in ESE 2015 and AIR 20 in GATE 2023.
• Mr. Rakesh Talreja, Senior Faculty and expert in GATE, ESE, and PSUs, who secured AIR 9 in GATE 2010.

The speakers shared their expertise and guidance to help students understand effective preparation techniques and explore career opportunities through competitive examinations.

Event Leadership

The webinar was presided over by Dr. Vishnu Priya Thotakura, Chairperson, IETE Women Empowerment Cell, Vijayawada, and Dr. B. Geetha Devi, Secretary, IETE Women Empowerment Cell, Vijayawada.

The initiative reflected the commitment of the IETE Women Empowerment Cell and OHM Institute to supporting students in their academic and professional development by providing access to expert guidance and career-oriented learning opportunities.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF), School of Electronics Engineering, (SENSE), VIT-AP University, in association with the IETE Vijayawada Centre were organised an event on “National Broadcasting Day – Celebrating the Voice That Connects India” on 10^th August 2026. The programme carried the message “Tune in. Stay informed. Stay connected.” and aimed to create awareness among students about the history, evolution and importance of broadcasting in India, from radio to modern digital media.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Tirumala Engineering College, Jonnalagadda, Narasaraopet, Palnadu Dist, Andhra Pradesh in association with the IETE Vijayawada Centre, to conduct ” AWARENESS PROGRAM ON IETE” on Saturday, i.e., 01-08-2026, in this event “IETE Membership Card’s – Distributed , and all II/IV,III/IV&IV/IV ECE students and the faculty members were participated in this program.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, KKR & KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences Guntur Andhra Pradesh in association with the IETE Vijayawada Centre Organised A Seminar on “Innovative Careers & Startup Opportunities in Cyber Security” on 1^st August 2026, The Rupesh Mittal, Renowned cyber security industry expert were resource person & Chief Guest of the Seminar of the guest lecture.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Vasireddy Venkatadri International Technological University (VVITU), Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, in association with the IETE Vijayawada Centre, organized a workshop on “Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Using ESP32: From Edge to Cloud” from 27-07-2026 to 31-07-2026. The programme provided theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in ESP32 programming, sensor and actuator interfacing, real-time data acquisition, industrial communication, edge computing, cloud connectivity, dashboard development, and Industrial IoT applications.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Sir C. R. Reddy College of Engineering, Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, in association with the IETE Vijayawada Centre, organized a “Canva Design Workshop” for II B.Tech ECE students on 29-07-2026. Ms. K. Harika, Associate Customer Support at Tech Mahindra, Hyderabad, served as the resource person. The workshop introduced students to digital design and visual content creation using Canva.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Sir C. R. Reddy College of Engineering, Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, in association with the IETE Vijayawada Centre, organized a technical event titled “ELECTRO QUEST” for III B.Tech ECE students on 27-07-2026. The event featured activities such as One Minute Electro Speak, Identify the Picture, and Rapid Fire Puzzle, making the learning of electronics more interactive and enjoyable.

The IETE Student Forum (ISF) of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, KKR & KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, in association with the IETE Vijayawada Centre, organized a hackathon on “Advanced Embedded Systems and IoT: Design and Prototype Development of Intelligent Electronic Systems” from 24-07-2026 to 25-07-2026. Mr. S. Sai of Vishishtha Innovators Pvt. Ltd. served as the resource person. The event focused on embedded systems and IoT-based electronic system design, encouraging students to explore prototype development and practical engineering applications.

The IETE Vijayawada Centre organized a guest lecture on “Intelligent IoT Systems for Smart Applications” at Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vijayawada, on 25-07-2026. Dr. B. Surya Prasada Rao, Chairman of IETE Vijayawada Centre, delivered the lecture and shared insights into the role of intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) systems in developing smart applications. The programme highlighted the importance of IoT technologies in addressing modern technological requirements and promoting technical awareness among students.
